Aldi Cherry bakewell sponge pudding

Nothing Cherry bakewell escapes from me so when I saw this at Aldi, I had to get it.
Overall, it was quite a nice pudding, but the sponge was a little bit too sweet and the texture was little too soft and oily.
Definitely perfect some custard.

M&S Chocolate & Hazelnut mince lies

Spotted these Chocolate & Hazelnut mince lies a few weeks ago on social media and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on them.
They are priced at £10 on ocado which seemed quite pricey but then they are meant for dessert.
These are not porky pies but mince lies.
So how do these mince pies fare with porky pies.
I'm not going to tell a porky pie but couldn't taste any hazelnuts.
It was just a rich chocolate cup with a crispy base topped with a quality chocolate runny ganache and a star shaped chocolate.
The hazelnut flavour was missing so unfortunately I now have three to finish.

Ube lava creme brulee milk at ko3 bubble tea

Another bubble tea joint in Croydon.
I got the instaworthy Ube Lava Creme Brulee milk which is purple contrasted by the eggy creme brulee at the bottom.
Overall, a lovely drink.
Oat and soya milk options available.
Located at JRC Buffet Croydon and available on deliveroo.
Thanks for the invite.

Sainsburys Mince pie pudding (sponge)

Again, I felt that this was another sponge pudding reinvented.
It reminded me of a spotted dick with the dried fruit components on top with extra spices and other Mince Pie filling ingredients.
Sponge pudding lovers will definitely like this as you have that Christmassy element to it without the richness of a proper Christmas pudding.
Compared to the one @another_snack_reviewer had, the mince pie topping looked generous on mine and perhaps a bit too much.
The mince pie topping was loaded with so much candied fruit peel, raisins and apple so you really do get a mouthful.
Overall, it is certainly worth trying if you like sponge puddings and mince pies.

Sainsburys sticky toffee trifle review!

To be honest, it was hard deciding which trifle to get because there was sticky toffee and black forest by Sainsbury's.
In the end I got the sticky toffee because it had toffee custard and toffee mousse.
Overall, it was a really nice trifle especially the toffee custard at the bottom.
The toffee mousse was also good and the trifle was not too sweet as a whole.
Best shared because it can get a bit too sickly if you have too much.

M&S rich and creamy savoury custard tarts reviewed 2022

I wasn't sure what to expect of these new rich and creamy savoury custard tarts which are described as a savoury version of the Pastel de nata.
Some Pastel de nata fillings can be like a thick creme so I wasn't sure how the cheesy custard texture was going to turn out.
After baking them instructed, the texture was nothing like the custard you normally see.
You can think of them like eating a cheesy quiche without the short crust exchanged with a light puff pastry tart base.

Merfs hot sauces

I love Merfs hot sauces which I came accross when Merfs condiments exhibited in London.
Merfs creator mama Merf is so cute and her sauces all have character.
My favourite had to be peaches and scream and her other combos are creative and punchy.
The cranberries and whiskey is definitely the best during Christmas with festive food.
