Made in Old Stead root vegetable mince pies

I was really lucky to get my hands on these different yet delicious mince pies.

These are made with root vegetables which give it a different texture and taste so they were certainly memorable.

The parsnips and beetroots had a chew yet it was like candied papaya and then you get this strong alcoholic taste in it as well as cinnamon and spices.

Lidl toffee filled yum yum

Not nice, taste and texture was just not nice and it tastes like something that has been fried and sitting there for a while.

Some at the back were flat as pancakes but I did see people poke them with tongs.

Lidl pain au double chocolat

Omg, this was delicious because the pastry is chocolate flavoured so it masks away that savoury buttery taste.

Lidl newgate express speedy noodle aka pot noodle dupe

This was horrible, nothing like the Pot Noodle original or aldi's dupe.
They were really sweet and the soy sauce didn't help.
I seemed to taste dill even though ingredients say chives.

Aldi The Deli cornichons with herbs

Cravings for cornichons satisfied.

Loved the tangyness that was not too sharp.

Aldi infused The fishmonger smoked salmon with lemon and black pepper

Again, good smoked salmon to my liking not too heavily smoked or salty.

Tasted great in a baguette.

Tesco white stilton with mango and ginger

Sweet and savoury crumbly cheese with delicious chunks of mango and ginger.
Oddly moreish on its own.
