Dressed Crab by Seafood & Eat It

The Dressed crab by Seafood & Eat It are delicious brown and white crab meat in a Crab shell just like the ones at the seaside stalls which are getting scarce.
The Seafood & Eat It range is amazing, you can buy white crab meat, brown crab meat, a mix and they even have my favourite potted shrimp as well as potted crab with shrimp.

M&S salted caramel overnight oats

This was the best overnight oats I ever tasted.
I literally felt like I was eating a homemade Angel Delight butterscotch dessert especially the butterscotch taste even though it was salted caramel.
The texture was airy yet thick and sticky.
The cocao nibs gave it that sophisticated touch.
The texture of the oats were not as rough and chewy like other overnight oats which feel like stringy chicken.
Definitely getting this again when I need a sweet filling fix.

Samboy BBQ crinkle cut crisps

Samboy, old school style Aussie crisps.
Bbq crinkle cut crisps.
Tasted like our English roast chicken and spring onions crisps.
Overall, I was glad it wasn't too sweet like the Asian ones.

Clive's Creamy Mushroom Pie

I don't often bump into products by Clive's but happened to see them at Waitrose so got the Creamy Mushroom pie to try.
It is labelled as wholemeal pastry crust filled with chestnut mushrooms and herby tarragon sauce.
It was definitely quite a different experience being wholemeal pastry but I found the mushroom filling too salty and lacked umami.
Overall, it wasn't bad.

Asda OMV! No Smoked Salmon

This is another supermarket smoked salmon alternative out there.
I felt that compared to aldi, the smell and taste was not quite there yet.
The smell reminded me of whiskey with a strong smokey aroma.
The taste was artificial because it was too salty with a tad of sweetness.
Last but not least, the texture was too soft and it was like jelly that was disintegrating.
Ingredients were almost or if not the same as aldi.
After trying it on its own, I had it with some pitta bread, raw onions, dill and cabbage from a kebab shop and it went together nicely.
In that sense, it was just like salmon because the onions and everything masked the unnatural flavours.
Will be trying the Squeaky bean salmon alternative just for comparison.

Late night cravings with a plant salmon kebab!
Since I already had satisfying fried chicken the other night, I decided to finish the plant salmon by getting a pitta filled with onions and cabbage to go with it from a kebab shop which was the only shop open anyway at 11pm.
It was definitely a delicious pairing with some dill thrown in and everything tasted in harmony so this brand isn't that bad when you have it with stuff but best not to eat on its own as it tastes weird.

Ong Ong Buns at Westfield, Stratford

Ong Ong buns started off as a pop up shop near Brick Lane and now they are in popular demand with a shop at Seven Dials and now a pop up at Westfield.
They specialize in Asian Buns which are not that expensive at 2.50 each for 5 for 10.
As a pandan fan, I got the coconut pandan cake which looked dry but it was certainly not.
You would expect a cake texture for that name but it was not quite cakey but moist and dense which I can't quite explain.
I think it is similar to steamed cakes or those Jamaican style cakes.
But overall it was delicious and not too sweet but the pandan could have been stronger.

Delief Rabokki jjajang

Again, I don't seem to get on well with Korean snacks, this time it was Delief Rabokki jjajang cup noodles  which is a mix of noodles and bokki!
Seriously, why mix the two which is similar to the Singaporeans mixing rice noodles and egg noodles together.
The bokki is seriously chewy after microwaving it while the seasoning broth was too sweet for my liking and nothing like the jjajang taste.
