Naturli plant ice cream

I think I heard that these were made with rice bit website says oat but anyhow they were nice.

LaVie Jambon vegetal plant based plain ham and smoked ham from Tescos

Seriously the French are good with their cheese and ham as well as plant based ham.
La Vie who do tasty plant bacon have just launched a really seriously amazing plant ham which you wouldn't have guessed is plant based in a sandwich.
Eating it alone wafer thin style was so real.
The mouth feel is hard to suspect only a little dryness and a slight grainy texture like chicken breast so I can foresee this is going to be an hot item.

dream farm plant based alternative to Mozzarella

I love Mozzarella so I was really impressed by this plant based alternative by dream farm, it comes in a brine just like regular ones.
The texture was soft how it should be but perhaps a bit like mochi without that stickiness.
Overall, I love this because I can eat more as it contains less fat if I am not wrong.

Sainsbury apple cinnamon baton (taste the difference)

To be honest I was after the chocolate pistachio baton after seeing it online but the store only had this so tried that instead.
Basically it's like like a thick puff pastry finger with apple jam in the middle.
The pastry was a little over done.
I still think the chocolate pistachio would be a better choice as its different.

Dandies Vegan marshallows

As a kid, I used to love marshmallows, back then the marshmallows were really nice but these days the marshmallows are too sweet because of the sweeteners.
It's been a while since I've had a nice marshmallow until I tried Dandies recently.
As well as original, they have flavours like maple chocolate etc.
The maple one tastes fantastic as well as the vanilla which tastes like the good old days.

Sainsburys Bao's of Holly review [Vegetable bao buns] and other finds

I didn't have any expectations for these buns but glad I got them after trying it.
The bao's are soft, moist and pillowly when microwaved.
The vegetable filling was nice and savoury and taste was much like the vegetable filling in the itsu gyozas.
You can really taste that aromatic sesame oil.
The vegetables were a bit mushy and you could see some fine silk threads which probably come from the yam beans and there was a slight bitter taste in the filling.
Overall pricey in Sainsburys term for £6 but cheaper and fancier than traditional China Town buns unless you go to Ping Pong or dim sum restaurants that are modern, presentable that are more for the English palate.
For me its about taste more than authenticity.

Other finds:

LOUX Sour Cherry Drink (Greek)

LOUX Sour Cherry Drink is a Greek carbonated sour cherry drink.
This drink was surprisingly nice, it tasted like black cherry which was sweet and not at all sour however sadly it wasn't really fizzy.
