M&S A perfect Christmas pastry [cherry almond croissant]

For Christmas, M&S have launched this new perfect Christmas pastry which is basically a Morello cherry and almond croissant.
I love cherry and almond so got it as soon as it was spotted.
Although it was nice, it was somehow quite different to how I imagined it to be.
Basically, I got two distinctive flavours coming through and that was sweet cherry jam and then a savoury nutty almond flavour along with the savoury taste of the croissant.
It wasn't quite cherry bakewell as I imagine but just a nutty croissant with sweet cherry.

Saffola masala oats

I love savoury oats so tried these masala oats which are possibly spicy.
They were surprisingly nice and savoury with a spicy kick.
You are meant to cook them but I just added hot water.

Laila instant noodles

Laila foods which are famous for rice now do noodles and snacks.
As an instant noodle fan I got them to try because the picture show flat instant noodles.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I opened the bag because they were round noodles and not flat like the product shot.
It turns out all the flavours have chilli and the flavouring powder is red so its pretty hot.
In the end I used my own flavouring.
The texture of the noodles lacked springiness.

Tesco Vive Rhubarb Custard drink and Pina Colada drink

Spotted these 1 Litre drinks for 49p at Aldi!!
I needed a drink after a spicy meal so thought why not.
Obviously for the sake of trying, not exactly going to finish them.
They have interesting ingredients if you look carefully like glycerol esters of wood rosin.
The pina colada was how would expect it for a sugar free drink.
Syrupy with coconut.
The rhubarb custard was just like drinking custard sweets and cream soda.
Best served chilled.

Tubzee Kulfi almond & pistachio malai ice cream

Finally tried some kulfi ice cream and it was surprisingly creamy and not too sweet.

Tesco Salted Caramel Mochi

Mochi ice cream is a thing these days and Tescos now do their own.
Priced at £3.70 which is unfortunate as they are also doing a Little Moons club card promotion for £3.75 so for 5p more you might as well get Mochi Moons.
Not everyone is curious like me to try different brands.
Anyway, clearly they are very different.
I tried the salted caramel mochi and felt that the ice cream and salted caramel was bang on.
It was interesting that even those the ice cream was still hard, the caramel was runny.
The Caramel flavour wasn't salty but it was creamy like fudge.
Overall, it was not too sweet so I ended up eating three.
Last but not least, the rice pastry looks the part but nothing like the real deal because it is no where as soft and sticky as it should be.
The pastry should be so sticky and soft that it sticks to your teeth and fingers especially when their is now dusting on it.
Other than that, I enjoyed them.
As well as salted caramel, there was chocolate and tropical.
