Glenryck Pilchards in brine

I am not really a tinned fish person but randomly tried this Glenryck Pilchards in brine because it wasn't in tomato sauce.
As weird as it may seem, the brine is the best part, the umami taste is so strong and the brine was so tasty without being fishy.
I felt like I got my moneys worth from the brine but not sure if it is good for you to drink the brine though.

Asda OMV Cherry Bakewell chunky cookies

When I spotted these,  they gave me a flashback of M&S cherry bakewell cookies so I thought I'd give them a go.

I wasn't keen because they were labelled as crunchy as I prefer chewy textures.

Anyway,  they were not that crunchy but more like an oat cookie.

The flavour was nice but wasn't strong even though the cherry was a little artificial.

DOLE fruit in jelly - peach in strawberry jelly

Dole peach in strawberry jelly.

This was an interesting pairing.

The strawberry jelly was too soft and rather artificial.

The peach pieces are the usual syrupy ones.

Rebel Kitchen raw Coconut Water

I love coconut water so ended up getting Rebel Kitchen raw Coconut Water because the bottle is pretty and the coconut water is pink.

Pink coconut water is the trend these days because it contains polyphenol oxidase a naturally occurring antioxidant.

Overall,  I really enjoyed this drink as it was naturally sweet and hydrating.

Hotdogs: Ye Olde oak / Wikinger

Tried two brands of hot dogs, Ye Olde oak and Wikinger.
I had high hopes for Ye Olde Oak but they were gritty and not nice but I didn't realize their was a glass ar version as well which may have tasted nicer.
Wikinger was slightly better but both were not nice overall.

Colman's mustard and sauces

Colman's are renowned for their sauces and condiments.
Hence the good old English classics have to have a spot in my blog.
The apple sauce is amazing, the tartare sauce has a nice complex profile and the mustard is irreplaceable.
The apple sauces is so versatile, you can have it with roast pork or even add it to some vanilla ice cream or cake.

Olympia Quality brand condiments: Salt, Tomato ketchup and mustard

Although Heinz is the number one of tomato ketchups, there is another favourite that I always get at the chip shops which is really tangy but never knew what brand it was until recently.
I believe it is the Olympia Quality brand as the ketchup tastes just like that and you also find their salts at the chip shop.
The salt crystals are in the form of balls which I didn't notice until now!
