M&S Cafe Cherry & Almond cake

I love cherry almond so had to try the new cherry almond cake which is probably over priced as it was found at the Cafe when you might be able to buy it later at M&S Food.
Anyway, it was not cloyingly sweet with a firm and sticky texture and a lovely cherry bakewell taste.

Princes Pressed cod roe

I am so glad you can still buy this at the supermarket and it is probably the older generation that buys it.
As I don't have a fryer like the chippies, I just pan fried the cod roe from the tin.
They taste best with fresh lemon or vinegar or Asian style with Sichuan spices.

M&S White pearl strawberries / pineberries (Strawberry/pineberry)

Finally got my hands on these white strawberries from M&S Food! Although I have tried them before, I still wanted to get them again.
They are so much nicer than the Japanese ones I had years ago which were really expensive.
The price of these strawberries range from 2.50 per box to 3.70. I paid 3.70 for my box. I definitely enjoyed them as they were really sweet and fresh with the vanilla tones as claimed but not as acidic as the regular red one.
The seeds are red when ripe which makes them super pretty although they are still sweet even if the seeds are green.

As well as M&S, you can also get them at Borough Market.

M&S Hot Cross Bun cake

I'm not a hot cross bun fan but love cakes and this was delicious.
It tasted like a carrot cake with the spices, diced candied peel and sultanas.
Texture was good being soft, firm with a slight stickiness.

Guylian the original seashells

Labelled as chocolate with hazelnut praline filling.
Guylian is a Belgian brand of chocolate which is interestingly popular with the Chinese so I used to think it was a Chinese brand because the name somehow feels Chinese.

Overall, I am not a fan of their chocolates but the hazelnut filling in the middle was superb.

Dr.Will's All classic mayo sugar free

I love mayonnaise so much that I have it with chips etc.
However I didn't know it contained sugar until I recently tried Dr Wills because mayo never tasted sweet.
Visually rather warm yellow, the mayo was sharp and creamy which a taste like salad cream minus the sweetness and the consistently was also like salad.
Definitely another mayo on my favourite list that is healthy.

Just for fun, I mixed it with Nortindal cuttlefish ink to make squid ink mayo.

357 Mad Dog hot sauce - 750,000 scoville

The 357 Mad Dog hot sauce was inside someones fridge so I thought I'd give it a try.

I only tried a pin prick amount and it was so hot that it resonates in the whole of your mouth let alone if I had swallowed it!!

To be honest, the spiciness felt more like a chemical burn.
