M&S Christmas Tree Yumnut and Panettonut reviewed - Christmas Sweet Treats 3 pack

M&S are really revving it this year with sweets, first it was the Christmas Tree yumnut and then there is the Panettonut.
The best thing is that you can try them both with the Christmas Sweet Treats pack for 5.25.

M&S have been really successful with yumnuts that they keep rolling out new yumnuts every now and then.
For Christmas this year, they have come out with a Christmas Tree shaped yumnut which is more festive than the Santa's belt.
The yumnut is also filled with delicious strawberry jam however I felt that the yumnut was too sugary for my liking.

Although I am not a fan of panettone, I was really keen to try the M&S panettonut which is a panettone and doughnut hybrid.
I am not sure if I got a bad one of the batch but the doughnut was dry and didn't feel soft.
The only thing that was heavenly was the dreamy vanilla custard and the mixed orange zest.
The panettone style doughnut felt stale in the sense that when you poked it there was resistance and not giving in.
Anyway, I think I should give this another go and update this.

Ambrosia Traditional rice pudding and sultanas with nutmeg flavouring

I actually bought this a while ago but didn't try until now because of the new Ambrosia sticky toffee rice pudding which I bought recently and tried first.
The only proper rice pudding I have ever had was from school and the supermarket ones.
I was quite impressed with the Ambrosia Traditional rice pudding because the nutmeg flavouring was quite nice.
Despite the texture being thinner than other rice puddings, I still enjoyed it.
The sultanas were soft and sweet because they have been canned for God knows how long.

Coughlans gingerbread yum yum

I was out to get some sweet treats and ended up with this adorable gingerbread yum yum.
I knew this was going to taste good and it did not disappoint.
The cinnamon and icing overall was sweet and dreamy so it was a lovely ending to my Christmas lunch followed by tea.

Sainsburys on the go Sage & Onion stuffing scotch egg

I love stuffing so this scotch egg has my name printed all over.
A few years ago, I tried Co ops version which was disappointing, so I am so glad Sainsburys version made up for it.
The sausage meat was to my liking even though it was a bit mushy but it did not contain chewy bits.
The overall taste was pleasing if you like sage and onion but would have been nice to have some crispy onion bits to contrast the mushy texture.

Sainsburys on the go Turkey samosas

When I saw these Turkey samosas, I liked the festive vibes how they used turkey instead of chicken which is fail proof.
Turkey easily passes off as chicken if you use the correct parts.
Overall, these turkey curry samosas were to my liking because you get that curry kick with the peas and potato followed by the chunks of turkey.
Just like mint sauce with samosas it would have been nice with some sweet cranberry sauce.
Not related to this review but some crafty restaurants buy reduced turkey after Christmas and serve it as Chicken hence a busy time for inspectors and lab technicians.

M&S Food Turkey, bacon and Sage soup review

Spotted this festive Turkey, bacon and Sage soup which I had to try because I love bacon and sage.
I was blown how delicious this soup was.
Although cabbage is not the main star of this soup, the pieces of cabbage in this was comforting.
Overall, I really enjoyed this soup because of the sage flavour and saltiness coming from the bacon.
I would definitely buy this again if they have the big size.

M&S food gingerbread milkshake 2022

M&S have launched these decadent milkshakes for a while now, but I haven't tried them until now because of the Gingerbread milkshake.
I took a sip and I was literally in heaven.
The milkshake was so moreish, it was thick but not overly thick and silky.
I loved the sweet cinnamon flavours which did not linger.
The sweeteners they used were very pleasing unlike some artificial ones that sting your throat.
On the ginger side, it was not fiery but more on the gingerbread flavour like you get in gingerbread cakes.
