Maltesers Dark chocolate debuts in the UK, first stop at Honesty baked in

Finally, we now have dark chocolate maltesers in the UK so we don't have to get the Austrailian version.
I have tried the Aussie version in 2011 but found it too sweet despite being dark and there was white chocolate in it as well.
The UK dark chocolate version is much nicer as it isn't so sweet and you can really taste the cocoa in the dark chocolate coating.
Dark Maltesers have
taken over Hummingbird bakery for one day in South Kensington to unleash the dark side of people by dishing out free cakes with personalized messages reflecting our dark side such as eat with your mouth closed, I don't understand my job etc.
There were two cakes to choose from, a chocolate and a chocolate cardamon by 2021 Bake-Off finalist Crystell Pereira.
I opted for the chocolate so that I could see how their regular chocolate cakes taste like.
The chocolate cake was amazing, from the rich moist chocolate cake to the lovely chocolate coating.

Sticky Toffee Long Johns by The Delicious Dessert Company

Sweet treats from The Delicious Dessert Company are always good so when they came out with the Long Johns, they were on my list to try.
The main problem with the Sticky Toffee ones is that they are always upside down inside the box which makes them off putting to buy and bad for photos.
A month later, there has been no improvement but I decided to try them anyway.
Overall, they were really delicious and not too sweet.
Would love to see an improvement on the manufacturer QC side so that they leave the factory the right side up.

Tesco finest doubly delicious jammy cookie cake, smores and cookies and cream

When I saw these cookie cakes, I just had to get it even though it was quite pricey.
It simply looks stunning like something you would find in a posh cafe so in those terms 1.75 would deem affordable.
As well as the jammy cookie, there is also a s'mores and cookies and cream.
I would love to see a red velvet version as well.
It is nice to see the box is well designed with a diagram of the cookie cake.
To my surprise, the cookie cake was really good with a cup of tea.
The chewy brown sugar cookie layer was really decadent complimented by the jam and the jammy cookie itself tasted amazing with the chewy jam centre.
The name cookie cake isn't quite right though because there is no cake in it at all.

s'mores cookie cake:
This was just as good as the jammy with the mini chocolate bar garnishing.
The filling was really decadent and dreamy with marshmallow and rich chocolate butter cream.

Eastern European apple doughnut

I have always been intrigued by Eastern European baked delights because there are some similarities with English bakery yet they look rather different.
I ended up getting an apple doughnut.
Sadly, I've lost the photo before it was cut but it looked like a calzone with icing which was the reason I tried it.
You can think of it looking like a patty/foldover with icing.
Inside it was filled with the usual apple and cinnamon filling.
Overall, it was quite pleasing with the apple cinnamon filling and icing so definitely worth trying.

Sainsburys Raspberry infused Earl Grey Tea - Taste the difference Limited Edition

I love tea so when I saw the Raspberry infused Earl Grey Tea, it certaintly got my attention because of the pariring of raspberry and Earl Grey.
It sounded nice but then when there are berries in tea, they often taste sour, however the raspberry in this was flavouring and not real raspberry pieces so I gave it a try.
Interestingly, the aroma was really sweet and smelled like strawberry and blackcurrant fruit pastilles.
As for the taste, it was not sweet as in sugary sweet but it was like a sweet tasting black tea with a bergamot aftertaste.
I definitely like the aroma but I don't think I will be drinking this daily like my regular tea.

Sainsburys peach melba conserve - summer edition taste the difference

My lit up when I spotted this peach melba conserve at Sainsburys.
The idea of peach melba as a jam sounded fantastic.
It is vegan and labelled as peach and raspberry extra jam with vanilla.
You can actually smell peach and there are chunks of peach in this jam.
As for the taste, it was really sweet but sadly I couldn't really taste the peaches as it was just sweetness all the way through.

Ginsters meatball marinara bake

I love Ginsters anything because I love bakes and pasties.
This time it was the new Meatball marinara.
If you like the taste of meatballs and herbs, this is for you.
There are mini meatballs inside.
