Hellmann's gravy mayonnaise

Mayonnaise used to be simply mayonnaise but now it has been taken to the next level with truffle, garlic, herbs and things like that.

As a fan of gravy and mayo I had to get the new Hellmann's Gravy flavour mayonnaise.

It is available at Iceland and Morrisons.

Iceland didn't have it so went to Morrisons where I saw the NEW aisle banner for the mayo however I couldn't find them.

It turns out that the new mayo was further down the shelf from the banner.

Anyway, grabbed a bottle and paid 2.50 for it.

Went to the nearest cafe and ordered chips to test it out.

Overall, it was quite a nice mayo with hints of onion but I felt that it could have been saltier or had some umami in taste to give it that proper gravy kick.

Other interesting mayonnaises I have tried are the CHIP SHOP mayo and Sage & onion stuffing flavoured mayo by Sainsburys.

Can't wait to see other flavours to come.

Ms Molly's Strawberry Trifle

Spotted Ms Molly's Strawberry Trifle at Tescos so gave them a try.

I simply love trifle and the look of the sleeve was colourful and had this Aunt Bessie feeling to it.

Ms Molly's is supposed to be an everyday value brand so I didn't have any expectation in taste but I was got shock.

Not only was it tasty and not too sweet, I found two whole strawberries in the jelly.

The product description for this is:

Layers of strawberries in a strawberry flavoured jelly, custard, stabilised cream and sponge.

Anyway, I really liked this trifle so well done Tescos and prefer it over their regular version.

Coca Cola store London

Coca Cola has just opened a Coca Cola store in London at Covent Gardens.

You can buy exclusive gifts, clothes and unique beverage creations there.

The choice of clothing was stylish and there is a drinks bar where you can try some fantastic creative drinks.

You can even customize your own can for 6 pounds.

Coop Beef Stew and dumplings

Again, food at Coop is either a hit of miss, the beef stew and dumplings turned out to be so comforting!!

Firstly you got chunks of quality beef in this lovely gravy.

I don't really like carrots but when you have carrots and onions in a beef gravy they simply taste so good.

Last but not least were the dumplings which were soft and flavourful to complete it all.

Tesco Caramel Biscuit & Strawberry Gateau Bar

A gateau bar is a long cake hence the name gateau bar.
It consists of layers of soft sponge and cream mousse finished with some garnishing depending on what the box says.

The first gateau bar I tried was some ASDA which got me hooked so I ended up trying the caramel biscuit one from TESCOs which is essentially the same and highly likely from the same manufacturer but made to TESCOs requirements.

Again, you have the same structure, eg the sponge layers and cream mousse.

At Tescos there was caramel biscuit and strawberry so I tried both.

I felt that the caramel biscuit was a bit plain but Biscoff lovers will love this because of the cinnamon as the caramel wasn't really strong enough for.

The Strawberry Gateau Bar however was amazing, the strawberry and cream mousse was just a match made in heaven.

ASDA Mint Sauce

I love mint sauce and a good one is one that is tart with lots of vinegar and not too sweet.

The ASDA mint sauce was to my liking and quite tart which made the food moreish.

ASDA Tartare Sauce

Tried ASDAs Tartare sauce which was loaded with gherkins however I found it too sharp for my liking.
