Meridian Toffee Apple Almond Butter

I have been meaning to try the Meridian Toffee Apple Almond Butter but at 3 quid it was a bit expensive.
It was available at Aldi for 1.99 which is still pricey however I decided to still give it a try.
Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews on Tescos which said it was weird.
Sadly, it wasn't to my liking as there was no apple or toffee taste and it was just strange.

Other spreads in the range:
Pumpkin seed butter and cocoa and hazelnut butter.

M&S Love cue (heart shaped cucumber)

The Love Cue is back, somehow it was launched in 2020 but I missed it!
Anyway, the heart shaped cucumber is back for 2022.
As well as heart shaped cucumbers you can also get heart shaped lemon slices but I prefer cucumbers as you can eat them as well as garnish dishes with it.

GRO Vegan Fishless Fillet & Chips review

When I saw the Fishless Fillet & Chips, it didn't look visually convincing.
Looking at the ingredients, the fishless fillet was the same play as the M&S one which is probably the same supplier made to Coop's specification.
The chips looked like they were freshly cut from a potato and flash fried or cooked quickly to achieve that half cooked look when you can still see it as freshly cut potato chips as the surface is so smooth.
Anyway, the thing that was not quite right was the mushy peas because it was not separated from the chips.
You can not heat the plastic box in the oven so you have to take all the contents out and put it in the oven.
The annoying thing is that ready meals are for convenience and this is clearly not because you have to separate the chips from the peas as they go in the microwave.
Finally tried this when I had some free time because I had to scrape the mushy peas from the chips.
When it was ready, the chips were just as I expected, freshly cut potatoes which still had this raw crunch to it.
The peas were actually nice because it tasted like baby food.
As for the fishless fillet, I felt that there was too much rice in ratio to the other ingredients.
Similar to the M&S version but M&S had a better balance of rice and potato flakes.

KitKat Gold

KitKat gold caramel chocolate bar labelled as a crispy wafer on a smooth milk chocolate base, topped with creamy white chocolate with sweet caramel notes.
Overall, it was nice but I found it too sweet and creamy being white chocolate.

Morrisons Carrot, Potato & Swede Mash

Who doesn't love Carrot, Potato & Swede Mash.
This time I tried Morrisons version and was quite impressed how good it was.
I loved the way it still had texture in the mash and overall really flavorful with savoryness without being too sweet.
The butter was balanced well so it was not overwhelming.

Morrison Sweet Potato Fritters

Another great vegetable side from Morrisons.
The fritter coating was really good as the thickness was just right to get the crunch when you heat it up.
It had a nice spicy kick and overall flavour but it was a bit too oily.
