M&S Chilli & Cheese hot cross buns

It has been a while since I tried the Marks and Spencers Chilli & Cheese hot cross buns which I thought I had written up but had not.

Anyway, they were nice with a spicy chilli kick which you could really taste but the cheese wasn't that strong.

In terms of texture, it was the usual sticky soft texture that is consistant with hot cross buns.

Heinz raspberry balsamic salad dressing spray

It was nice when Heinz came out with this Raspberry balsamic salad dressing spray.

The raspberry makes it refreshing and takes balsamic salads to the next level with a berrylicious taste.

I liked the way the dressing was sharp and not too sweet.

Morrisons all butter croissants (packet)

I didn't really have any expectations on these croissants because they felt hard when I took it out the bag.

The problem was solved and made a bit better by putting them in the microwave for 10 seconds and then in the oven if you want them nice and flakey.

Overall, I was hungry so they were ok.

 

Kingsmill 50/50 bread

I know it sounds silly but I really thought that you get half a loaf of white bread and half brown but it turns out that it is white bread with hidden wholegrain wheat in it.

I love bread and carbs so I was fine with the wholegrain wheat being unoticable.

fresh & naked lambs lettuce and salad mix

Got these fresh & naked salad leaves from the supermarket.

These need to be washed because it says so as I almost mistook it for saying washed.

Anyway, I love Lamb's lettuce because the texture of these leaves which remind me of spinach.

M&S oozing garlic doughballs

If you like garlic bread, then you are certainly going to love these doughballs that will ooze with garlic butter.

The amount of garlic butter filling is so generous that I used the toast hack and got extra garlic butter toast out of it.

The garlic butter is definitely the star of the show because it has a good salt and garlic balance without being too overwhelming.

Maryland Peanut Butter & Jelly / Birthday Cookies review

The birthday cookies and peanut butter & jelly cookies by Maryland were launched last year hence it has taken me some time to try them out.

Maryland cookies come under the Burtons Biscuit group as I found out at the food expo.

These are chunky loaded cookies.

The birthday cookies are bascially loaded with colourful candies which look like smarties.

I found the birthday cookies too buttery for my liking in taste.

However the peanut butter & Jelly were memorable as the jelly bits were hard and become chewy.

The flavour with peanut butter is interesting and the chocolate chunks balance it out so that the peanut butter doesn't taste that odd.

Visually the jelly is not visible like the picture but there was quite a fair bit of it when you eat it.
