Gu Hot Puds Apple & Salted Caramel Sponges

GU pudding a famous brand of desserts which come in a glass ramekin.
Their range has grown and now they do melt in the middle puddings, mousse, souffles, hot puds as well as cheesecakes.
As a pudding fan, I tried the apple and salted caramel sponges which you heat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
The hot pudding was simply delicious and not too sweet while the apple compote at the bottom had a nice punch.

Other desserts in the GU pud range:

ASDA Bruce the Brussel Sprout Cheddar

I love cheese so had to try the Brussel sprout cheddar made with Brussel sprout ketchup.
It makes me wonder if Sauce Shop are behind this as they are the only makers of sprout ketchup.
Overall it was a cheese that was nice but it would be good to see bits of green in it.
I am also thinking of getting the sage and onion cheddar from Asda but that would mean getting the whole set because you can't buy it separately.

Sainsburys egg custard tarts

Egg custard tarts are a popular afternoon treat but despite having tried all the other supermarkets, I figured I have not tried Sainsburys version hence the purchase.
As with all Sainsburys sweet treats, they always impress and it was the same for these custard tarts which were smooth and silky finished with a fragrant nutmeg sprinkle.

Jude's Chocolate and Cherry Kefir ice cream

Spotted the Jude's Chocolate and Cherry Kefir ice cream on offer at Sainsburys so decided to give it a go because it was made of Kefir and it was chocolate cherry flavoured.
It was just the usual chocolate ice cream with a hint of cherry so it was a bit disappointing as I was hoping it to taste like yoghurt or have a lot more cherry in it.

Krispy Kreme Christmas doughnuts 2021

Christmas is here and so are Krispy Kreme's new festive doughnuts featuring four fun choices.
My pick is the So Good Pud is filled with gingerbread and caramel for festive flavour, dipped in chocolatey icing and decorated with a sugar holly leaf.
Overall, you could really taste the gingerbread in the filling but it was a bit weird with the caramel.

Other festive doughnuts in the range:
The Tree yo self is Filled with caramelised biscuit kreme filling, sprinkled with celebratory sweet decorations complete with a flake chocolate tree trunk.
The Doughman is Filled with a frosty white choc kreme and decorated with dark chocolate, white & red icing.
Last but not least is the Chocolate sprinkles which is the Signature ring hand dipped in chocolate icing!

Sainsburys Vegetarian Roll selection

It is nice to have a vegetarian roll selection as well as meat.
This year Sainsburys veg roll selection includes: brie & cranberry, cauliflower cheese and maple parsnip.
All of them were nice except for parsnip but it was a nice selection of flavours.

M&S Posh cheesy beans on toast! Posh for a reason

M&S are good at creating food debates and the Posh Cheesy beans on toast definitely started one.
I was captivated by the mini slices of bread because size matters.
Without even trying them, they are posh for a start from the ingredients!!
You will find: Vegetable Stock made with Seaweed, Shiitake Mushrooms, Yeast Extract, Salt, Lemon Juice, Bay Leaves, White Peppercorns, Thyme. Then there is Black Treacle, Dried Onions, Dried Garlic and even Ginger, Paprika, Cloves and Concentrated Tamarind!!!!
Inspecting the dinky little morsels, the manufacturers have smartly put Barber cheese on the base so that the beans adhere to it and don't fall off and then more creamy barber cheese on top.
They were simply delicious and you can really taste that sharp tamarind which makes the beans different from your usual beans and the creamy cheese compliments it nicely.
If you heated it right, the dinky little bread pieces should be nice and crispy with a soft centre.
Although, a bit pricey, I really enjoyed them ALL TO MYSELF!
