Mug shot Christmas Dinner

Mug shot to most people means a head shot in photography terms but if you are in the UK, you will know it as a brand of soup.
Ever since Heinz came out with that Christmas soup that was sold out, I have been meaning to try Christmas soup wherever it is available.
So far Greggs and Mug Shot have it.
To be honest, Mug Shot fared much better because you could really taste the Christmas vibes with the sage but it was a little sweet.
It was impressive how the pasta pieces were soft unlike other brands which remain soft yet crispy.
Overall much better than Greggs one.
Mugshot are mug soup specialists so if they don't get it right,  who will?
After this experience, I will be rekindling myself with their other products to do it justice.

Bury Black pudding slices

Who doesn't like Bury Black pudding slices.
They basically complete any breakfast.

Times have changed and they now do a vegan version as well.

Sainsburys roasted red pepper houmous - vegan

Again, same with all supermarkets, the red pepper houmous gets easily confused with the peri peri because of the colour and packaging.
Anyway, the red pepper houmous had a nice tang and you can really taste the red peppers.

M&S Brie & Cranberry sandwich & M&S Cafe Version

Well done again Marks & Spencers.  I was iffy about getting the Brie & Cranberry sandwich because I was worried the cranberry jam would be too sweet but it was beautifully sharp.
The sandwich was well filled with brie and spinach so it was very satisfying.

Juno Bamboo Water

Discovered an interesting refreshing tasty bamboo water which was inspired in Hong Kong while the founder was working there.
Bamboo water has lots of health benefits like antioxidants and immunity-boosting minerals.
In terms of taste, it was really good because it was not sweetened hence just my thing.
It was flavoured with yuzu which gives it that refreshing taste but as a curious foodie, I would love to try it without anything to see what bamboo leaves actually taste like.

Gentleman's Relish (Patum Peperium)

On my usual supermarket trips, I spotted this unusual pot which held anchovy paste inside called the Gentleman's Relish (Patum Peperium).
I have been meaning to get it but it was quite pricey so as soon as it was reduced to 1.50 to clear I bought it.
The expiry date is well beyond so it could be a sign it is not doing well as you don't find this at other supermarkets but only on amazon.
Basically, it is really salty as you can imagine hence it says use sparingly so I believe this tub is going to last for ages.
The colour and smell was like crab tomalley with a salty kick and tastes wonderful on toast.
It is salty and fishy but it wasn't peppery like the name suggests but you either hate it or love it like marmite.

M&S Crispy duck spring rolls

Duck spring rolls are a popular snacks so I decided to try the M&S version to see how it fared.
As expected the sauce was very sweet but the spring roll itself was tasty filled with lush duck meat.
