M&S The Collection Roasted root vegetable rolls

I wasn't sure how these roasted root vegetables were going to taste but they were surprisingly tasty filled with soft sweet potatoes, swede and all that and the herbs gives it an overall nice flavour.

Sainsburys Bakewell Slice

I love Bakewell slices so tried Sainsburys version where it comes in a pack of four.

They are similar to the slices at school where they have a firm base.

Overall nice but it gets a bit sweet towards the end.

Lidl Kuljianka Potato dumplings with pork and beef

Finally tried Lidls Kujianka potato dumplings filled with finely grounded beef and pork.
They started off nicely but then I didn't like them because I found bits of grounded bone in it.

The dumpling pastry itself was weird and chewy.

Lidl Pierogi with Sauerkraut and Bacon / Dumplings with Sauerkraut and mushroom

Every now and then Lidl does different themes and this time it was Eastern European week which is repeated every now and then.

This time I tried the Pierogi with Sauerkraut and Bacon.

Not bad if you like mashed potato and saukeraut.

Adding chilli oil takes them to the next level.

Lidl Quark Snacks

Every now and then Lidl does different themes and this time it was Eastern European week which is repeated every now and then.

Flying fast off the shelves were these Lidl Quark Snacks, as well as the Lidl brand there was another brand which costs a little more.

My initial picks would be the other brand but strangely most people recommended the Lidl Quark snacks so I grabbed a bag to try.

Unfortunately, I found it too sweet and the filling was like dehydrated cream cheese.

It tasted like lemon cheesecake without the base and Kinder milk slice filling coated in sugary chocolate.

Oops not my cup of tea.

Salted egg with double yolkers

Double yolkers are so special and rare that you just have to treat them in a special way.

When I got them, I cracked one open, fried one as well as boiled one for the photos.

Soft boiled eggs are nice but I decided to salt them because salted egg yolks always taste amazing and having two yolks is like double the pleasure!

They were salted on the 3rd October so we will have to wait a month to see how they taste!

After a long month of anticipation, I finally tried one but sadly it was not salty so I chucked in more salt and waited another month.

Finally, a month had passed and it was time to try them so I simply put one in the rice cooker with the rice.

Thankfully, they were salty and the salted egg yolk was amazing!

I don't think anyone else in the world would have thought of curing a double yolker so this salted double yolker is probably one in a billion.

Overly salty egg because the shell had cracked during curing and the yolks look cojoined.

Galaxy Hot Chocolate with mini marshmallows & apple crunch sprinkles

I love hot chocolate every now and then and when it is topped with pretty sprinkles and marshmallows it makes it even more indulgent.

Treats by Mar are always bringing out these sweet treats like the latest hot chocolate station.

What makes this one so special is that it comes with apple crunch sprinkles whereas the usual ones just come with plain marshmallows.

Overall, the Galaxy hot chocolate was fun to make and comforting to drink!
