Marugame Udon opens in London, Liverpool Street

Marugame Udon also known as Marugame Seimen, a famous restaurant in Asia opens their first branch in London, Liverpool Street!
There were long lines on the opening day.

When you get there, you choose an udon which is made to order and then you can also choose optional tempura from the tempura bar.
The udon is freshly made just like pasta.
The Udon bowls start at £3.45 which will get you the kaamage.
For the desserts, they have unlimited vegan matcha £2.95 and doriyakis.
After you have paid, you can customize your udon with toppings at the toppings station and eat.

Pictured are: Beef Nikutama, Chicken Paitan, kaamage, curry udon and kakiage and nori tempura
I had the chicken paitan which was udon with sliced marinaded chicken thigh in a rich chicken soup with a soft boiled seasoned egg.
The udon was soft with a chew in this sweet comforting chicken broth however it would be good if the egg was less salty.

Overall, it was just as good as the Marugame Udon in Asia and I hope to see the UK branch do the tempura egg which was just amazing.
I will definitely be back for the vegan matcha, tofu omusubi and tempura.

Photos of Marugame Udon and the tempura egg I had in Asia.

Yazoo chocolate hazelnut limited edition

It's been a while since I had a yazoo, only tried it because it was the limited edition chocolate hazelnut.
A while ago they had chocolate orange when it was the thing! Sadly I missed the limited edition chocolate caramel as well as chocolate mint!
Anyway, I believe they will make a come back some time.
They are usually a pound but it was only 50p from asda so I ended up getting it.
There was a lovely hazelnut smell when you opened it and it was really nice.
Tbh it was artificial hazelnut but it worked.
You can really taste the cocoa powder like those nesquik milkshakes.
Overall it was not too sweet which was nice.

Angel Delight dessert kits - space edition and dinosaur edition

To stay in the trend, Angel Delight has come up with these dessert kits which makes three layered desserts.
Launched earlier was the dinosaur edition and unicorn edition.
I am not a fan of strawberry so ended up getting the new Space edition (butterscotch) as well as the dinosaur edition (chocolate).
Having bought both, I made the dinosaur edition first for practice before making the space edition.
Overall it was easy to make but you have three times more to wash up because you need three mixing bowls.
As a lazy girl, I simply put the three sachets of powder and milk into three different tubs with lids and shook it which saved me washing the whisk three times.
The green layer was the usual butterscotch angel delight and the white layer simply tasted horrible because it was like synthetic cream which I believe might have been the white chocolate flavour launched ages ago.
Otherwise it was just your regular angel delight with a chocolate layer and butterscotch layer!

Waitrose cappuccino mousse

I am not a coffee fan but I do like coffee flavoured desserts and chocolate.
There was a cappuccino mousse at Waitrose which I found unsual so decided to try it.
The mousse was really nice as it was creamy with a good coffee kick.
