Soreen Strawberry Lunchbox Loaves

I love Soreen bars because of its chewy squidy texture.
The latest veg fruit ones were not impressive so this time I tried the strawberry loaves as they were reduced to 25p yet not out of date.
The strawberry smell was rather nice and the taste of the strawberry was not too artificial to offend.
Overall worth trying.
Other interesting Soreen flavours: chocolate, chocolate orange, winter spice, seeds and more (cranberry pumpkin and sunflower seeds), Orange & Rainbow carrot bakes and Berry & Beetroot bakes

Rice Krispies Squares Chocolate by Kelloggs

Rice Krispies have been around all the time and I used to get the original marshmallow ones Rice Krispies Treats at extortional costs in Hong Kong.
Recently, I had rediscovered them at ASDA because they had all these different flavours so I tried the Salted caramel pretzel.
Although they are super sweet, I decided to try the chocolate one as well since they are readily every where unlike Hong Kong.
This is not the snack you should start at night as it is very chocolately and sweet.
I am so glad I got the single instead of the multipack even though it costs more.
I've always wondered why they are called squares because they are rectangles or did they used to be two blocks of squares in a bar.

Arrigoni Taleggio cheese expertly sourced by Marks Spencer

M&S have a great range of Italian dairy products like butter and cheese.
This time I tried the Arrigoni Taleggio cheese which is similar to brie.
Taleggio was really flavourful like brie when melted on pikelets which were soft and chewy with a nice crispy edge.

Coop Irresistible Black forest Cheesecake

Basically I'm all for chocolate cherry so I was captivated by the black forest cheesecake which is a chocolately cheesecake on crisp biscuit base, hand finished with a Morello cherry compote.
It wasn't bad, the biscuit base was soft more like a brownie and the chocolate cheesecake was more like mousse with a lovely cherry compote.
Defintely the thing for cheesecake lovers but I am more of a cake person.

New Coop Summer trio indulgent doughnut finds

I have always wanted to try the new coop Millionaire’s Salted Caramel Ring but had doubts.
One day I decided to try and and it was sold out which was a good sign.
The staff told me to come back the next day as they are freshly made early in the morning.
Went again a few days later and there were two left.
I let the guy in front go first and he picked the Triple chocolate and the Millionaires salted caramel donut so asked him which one was better and he said the salted caramel for sure.
I was definitely not disappointed because the donut was really fresh and you can see it from the picture that it was nice and white with no oil seeping in from the edges.
The caramel filling was spot and not too sweet as well as the icing.
Basically a perfect treat with tea or coffee.
Money well spent and it was only half the price of a KK donut that was not fresh and ruined my day.
Well done coop and I'm planning to try the strawberry pavola doughnut next!!!
Again its always hits and misses at Coop.

Millionaire’s Salted Caramel Ring – a ring doughnut filled with salted caramel and topped with caramel icing, biscuit pieces and a chocolate drizzle.

Strawberry Pavlova Jam Ball doughnut.
Jam-filled doughnut topped with strawberry flavoured icing, freeze dried strawberry and meringue pieces.
Strawberry Pavlova Jam Ball doughnut

After that satisfying Millionaires salted caramel donut from Coop I decided to try the Strawberry pavola doughnut ball from the same series.
Basically it is a jam donut topped with strawberry icing, meringue pieces and freeze dried strawberries.
Overall it wasn't bad but the jam filling is in the middle  which is different to the ring donut so you get a different ratio of filling,  icing to doughnut.
Not bad for a pound considering that they are freshly made in the morning.

Triple Chocolate Ball Doughnut which is filled which chocolate and topped with chocolate icing and golden star sprinkles.
Finally found an instaworthy triple choc donut with equally distributed star sprinkles and choc chips from @coopfoods
They didn't have the regular bakery bags so had to use the long baguette bags which I had to skillfully put the donut in the bag without the icing touching the paper or my donut would be ruined for photos.
Then I had to carry it carefully so the icing didn't stick.

Finally got it home and ate it asap.
Overall nice but it didn't really need the chocolate filling as it was too much or perhaps a different filling would have been nicer.
The funny thing was, there was a label saying it could be cheaper because of the tax but the guy at the till was saying it costs £1.50 when it was only £1.

Overall, I was happy that I tried all three setting me back at £3 because I actually wasted £2.20 on a donut from KK which turned out to be rancid!
To summarize, two out of the three doughnuts were good so not bad!

Rice Krispies Squares Salted Caramel Pretzel by Kelloggs

Kelloggs rice Krispies squares have always been around.
They are basically chewy crispy rice bars.
It used to be basic flavours but now there are just so many.
I fell for the American style salted caramel pretzel which is your usual chewy crispy goodness with salted caramel and bits of chewy crushed pretzels on top.
Overall, I liked it and I hope to see the chocolate mint come back as well as new flavours like chocolate cherry or cherry bakewell.

M&S Marks and Spencers Battered prawns

I don't recall seeing battered prawns at M&S so decided to try it.
The batter was visually nice as it had green bits which made it look nicer than the usual boring batter.
After heating it in the halogen oven, the batter was crispy but was quite bland hence the pairing with sweet chilli sauce.
Overall, the prawns were nice accompanied with sauce but I was a bit disappointed that the green herbs in the batter didn't give it extra flavour or anything.
The prawns shrunk a bit when reheated.
