Go Vegan Supermarket at Surrey Street Market

The Go Vegan supermarket has suddenly appeared just like the South London Vegan Market a while ago.
There were so many stalls to check out but the one I most wanted to try was sold out of vegan fried eggs with a runny yolk.
The highlights at the market were faux fried chicken, paella, dark chocolate hummus, tropical salads and colourful burgers from Handsome Mom.
Stalls at this market:

Vegan paella @casachomp
VFC @fauxfriedchickn
Burger @itshandsomemom
Salads @mel_tropical_kitchen
Fried eggs @plant__theseed
Dark choc hummus @chickeefood

Sainsbury's Plant Pioneers No Egg & Cress Sandwich

Now Sainsburys are also in the game with no egg and cress sandwiches joining M&S who have been selling them for two years.
The difference is that M&S uses beans to mimic that starchy yolk texture while Sainsburys uses tofu.
I knew I was going to like it because of the tofu and it did not disappoint as it had that soft egg texture yet it was seasoned nicely.

M&S Marks and Spencers breaded lemon sole goujons

You don't often get lemon sole goujons which was why I got these breaded goujons.
Lemon sole is a lovely delicate fish hence perfectly delicious breaded.
Overall, they were tasty paired with some potato shaped hula hoops.

M&S Physalis berry

A Physalis berry is a native Peruvian berry which is an interesting berry because it is encased in a papery calyx.
When you remove the calyx the stalk bit can get quite sticky.
As for the taste, it can be quite confusing because it is quite tart yet quite sweet tasting like a tomato and also like tart strawberry.
Visually it looks like an orange cherry tomato.

M&S Marks Spencer Gluten Free Wheat Free 5 Chocolate Fudge Cake Slices

I am not on a gluten or wheat free diet but the Chocolate Fudge cake slices looked good so I grabbed a box.
The small cake slices were so good because the cake texture was moist yet firm.
Adding M&S UHT chocolate cream to it took it to the next level.
Overall a bit pricey but they were good which makes it ideal for someone who wants something sweet.

Morrisons 2 ginger sponge puddings

The ginger sponge was reduced at Morrisons so I decided to try it.
Overall, the ginger syrup was rather runny and sweet and the sponge was too soggy for my liking.
Rating: 3/5
