Lyons Biscuits Toffypops

When I first came across these biscuits, I knew they were going to be nice but I held back getting them as they were a bit pricey at £1.29 at Poundstretchers when they are quoted online for £1 or less.
In the end, I gave in because Lyon Biscuits really do need some support in the sense that they are a really good brand that has been around since 1938.
The sad thing is that Lyons Biscuits has been disappearing from the supermarket shelves and ending up in shops like Poundstretcher and One Below.
To be honest, you do get quality 16 biscuits inside and I like the size of them because they are not too big or small.
Taking a bite, you get all this gooey soft toffee inside on a nice biscuit base with the right amount of chocolate on top so the sweetness is just right.
Overall I felt that the Toffypops do taste better than McVities caramels and the posh Fortnum & Masons toffoloffolus biscuits.
If you wack them in the fridge, the toffee is nice and chewy.

toffypops at Sainsburys, but not all branches stock them.

Sainsburys Aloo Saag

The aloo saag looked good but it was very bland in taste.

Sainsburys King Prawn Makhani with Pilau Rice

I didn't have any expectations for the Sainsburys King Prawn Makhani with Pilau Rice which turned out quite nice.
The amount of King Prawns in the curry was good but I believe they shrivelled up while reheating in the microwave but overall the texture of the prawns were nice and bouncy except for one which was a bit mushy.
If only there was more rice as there was plenty of sauce left.
I would give it 5/5 but I was still pretty hungry after the meal hence 4/5.

TWIX salted caramel

Since the Twix salted caramel came out in 2020, I have always wanted to give it a try but I didn't want to get the multipack and they are quite pricey on their own.
Finally tried it as they were only 20p each or six for a pound.
Overall, I felt that it just tasted like your regular twix with a noticeable saltiness however the sweetness of the TWIX was too sweet overall that the saltiness didn't do it justice.

Aldiva Apple Cinnamon Fruit Rolls

Aldiva Fruit rolls are not new but as a fan of fig rolls I had to get them because you don't often get apple which should taste better than the fig or date rolls in the range.

I hesitated getting them because the cookie part makes them hard and I just don't like hard biscuits and stuff.

Anyway ended up getting them as 69p wasn't exactly expensive for quite big bag.

Looking at these fruit rolls, they look exactly the same as the usual fig rolls but slightly smaller.

The filling is a thin layer so you get a bigger ratio of the cookie to filling whereas with the regular fig rolls it is the opposite.

Overall, I did not like them because the cookie part was too sweet which over powered the apple and cinnamon, to be exact, I could not taste any cinnamon.

Rating: 2/5

M&S Marks and Spencers Marmite Twist

I have always wanted to try the M&S marmite twist and it happened to be on the sparks offer so I was able to try it.

Ideally, it tastes the best reheated in the oven.

You can imagine it tasting like a croissant with cheese and marmite.
