Nestle Smarties mini

Smarties are just Smarties, everyone knows what they are.
I bought these Smarties because they were minis!!
They are just too cute!

Nestle Damak pistachio chocolate from Turkey

Spotted this Nestle Damak pistachio chocolate bar at the local corner shop so decided to try it.
It was quite delicious with generous amounts of pistachio which are visible.
I was impressed that there were some whole pistachio nuts in there because often crushed nuts are used as they are cheaper.
The inside of the paper wrapper was also printed with some information on it.
Rating: 4/5

Other chocolate in the Nestle Damak range:
damak white chocolate pistachio, 1927 Ekstra suilu, Bol Sutlu, almond orange white chocolate

Twix Chocolate & Caramel Cake

I love caramel anything so I was captivated by the Twix Chocolate & Caramel Cake which was on promotion at Tescos for £2 with a clubcard.
Had it not been for the clubcard promotion I probably would have not bothered at £3.
Having the cake at room temperature, it was quite nice in the sense that it was not too sweet and the chocolate balls on top were chocolate coated biscuits which is like the TWIX biscuit base.
The only thing I did not like was the chocolate frosting because it leaves a oily film on your tongue that doesn't quite melt in your mouth.
I also tried the cake warm by putting it in the microwave for 15 secconds which makes the cake nice and soft where the chocolate frosting and caramel filling goes gooey.
Having it with custard would be ideal but when the chocolate frosting is hot, the melted oils in it are apparent.
Overall, not worthy at full price for £3 but worthy trying at £2 because not often do you see a twix cake.
As for £3 I would rather buy Mary Berry's cakes which are spot on in terms of the cake and frosting.
Rating 3/5

English treats at The Flying Fox Sai Kung

I can never get enough of my English fix in Hong Kong so I am so glad there is now a shop that has lots of English snacks called The Flying Fox in Sai Kung.
They have space raiders, hula hoops etc but the best thing is that they have the latest treats in the UK like Rowntrees Dessert pastels and McVities VIB biscuits.

Easyfoodstore.com - the 25p shop

Went to the Easyfoodstore.com a while ago. Everything was 25p.
The location was a bit difficult though so you have to get various buses to visit if you don't have a car.
Overall worth visiting.
