[Review] M&S Select Farms baby cabbage

I was captivated by these baby cabbages because they just looked cute.
When I bought them I was thinking that they would taste like cabbage but just the size is different.
However when I posted them, someone mentioned a big Brussels sprouts which is also true because they do look like big Brussel sprouts.
The funny thing was that the taste was just like Brussels Sprouts so I was quite surprised by that.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Plant Kitchen Smoky Bean Chili

The Plant Kitchen Range is at M&S is really impressive offering meals, pizzas, cooking ingredients to dessert.
This time I tried the Plant Kitchen Smoky Bean Chili which is for pulse lovers because there are so much pulses in it.
Overall it was good and fulling.

Sainsburys 2020 Christmas - Brussel Sprouts sprinkles, Pigs in Blanket Instant noodles and Pigs in Blanket Mayo

For Christmas this year, I like the way how Sainsbury's have continued with the theme of pigs in blanket and Brussel sprouts from 2018.
It makes it fun and memorable coming from Sainsbury.
I liked the design so why not use it again.

Pigs in Blanket style mayonnaise:
I think this is going to be a game changer because bacon and mayo is simply delicious together and now its in the mayonnaise, you will feel less guilty but in reality there was no bacon taste or any bacon in it at all as I imagined.
It tasted like a punchy salad cream with a bit of paprika smokiness like prawn cocktail dressing.
Compared to other mayonnaise, I wouldn't describe it as creamy because of the sharpness but still nice.

Pigs in Blanket style instant noodles:
Finally tried Sainsburys pigs in blanket noodles which I was really looking forward to.
You can think of it like chicken noodle soup but with a smoky bacon aroma and sausage flavouring from the herbs.
Initially I thought there were sausage bits in the noodles but as it is labelled vegetarian those little chunks are probably soy bits.
Overall I liked it but you have to give it a good 4-5 minutes wait for the noodles to soften and absorb the flavours.

Sainsbury's Sprout Sprinkle
Pigs in Blankets Style Seasoning 35g
Seasoning blend with onion, garlic and smoked paprika.
I can definitely imagine shaking this one some roast but in the end I did not get them because they do not contain any sprouts.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Detroit Style Loaded Pizza - The Whole Hog

Decades ago M&S used to have this delicious Chili Beef pizza which I still cannot forget which sadly isn't produced anymore.
Enter the Detroit style loaded pizzas which comes with a sachet of sauce.
There are three in the Detroit series: chicken, beef and hog.
The chicken pizza is buttermilk chicken, beechwood smoked bacon and sweetcorn with a ranch sauce.
The philly steak out is probably the closest I can get to the old chili beef with beef brisket, sauteed onions an green peppers with a mustard mayo dressing.
The whole hog is pulled pork and charred ham with a Kansas BBQ sauce.

Since the whole hog was reduced I ended up trying it.
Visually it was loaded with lots of meat and I recommended trying the pizza without sauce first to see how you like it before adding sauce.
Overall, I really liked it because the pizza was crammed with pulled pork that was tasty and tender.
Adding the BBQ made it sweet and smokey.
Will definitely try the other pizzas in the range.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Thin & Crispy Cheese & Tomato and Pepperoni Pizza

Tried the Marks and Spencers Thin & Crispy Cheese & Tomato and Pepperoni Pizza which was just a simple cheese, tomato and pepperoni pizza.

Unlike most round pizza bases, this one was rectangular that was the size of an A4 sheet.

Unfortunately, the person who put it in the oven had it on high heat so it was a bit too burnt and crisp for my liking.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers 6 Raisin & Maple Pancakes

At M&S, there are so many pancakes to choose from like Belgian Chocolate, Orange Pancakes etc.

This time I tried the Raisin & Maple pancakes which turned out to be my least favourite.

The maple was fragrant and lovely but the raisins just got in the way for me.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten free Shortcrust Apple Pie

As with all gluten free and wheat free products, you often find the texture is different.

The Marks and Spencers Made without wheat Gluten free Short crust Apple Pie had a soft short crust which I liked.

Since the short crust was rather soft, I decided to reheat it in the microwave so that it would hold together better.

Putting it in the oven would make the pastry even more crumbly.

Overall, the apple pie was just as delicious as their regular apple pies and it tasted really nice with M&S double cream.
