Chimmichurri sauce compilation

I fell in love with chimmichurri the first time I had it when I tried it at the restaurant, since then I order it at the restaurant if they serve it.
Chimmichurri is available in red or green. The green version is chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, oregano and red wine vinegar.
There are so many applications for this sauce like salmon and burgers which I tried.

The Chimmichurri sauce which is currently under development by Cheeky Boy Sauces has a lovely Mediterranean savoury and chili kick to it just as I imagined.
You can think of it as the modern bbq mint sauce for barbecued meats or a Mexican Zaatar!

My favourite was definitely the grilled cheese because I love the pairing of cheese and chimmichurri.
You will also find Grilled chimmichurri avocado cheese toasts online so chimmichurri pizza would  probably taste good.
Just imagine Lasagne with chimmichurri, gnocchi with chimmichurri etc.

Here are my chimmichurri dishes:

[Review] Rustlers Sausage Muffin

Rustlers burgers have been around for ages since 1999 and going strong.
When they first appeared, there were only a few options but the now range is bigger and better with chicken, ribs etc.

A few weeks ago, I had the Rustlers Southern Fried Chicken Burger which was very satisfying so this time I got the Rustlers Sausage Muffin.

Instructions are simple, it is either toasting or shoving it in the microwave.

For the sausage muffin, it only involves the microwave then slapping on the cheese and ketchup.

Overall, I was really impressed with the taste especially the sausage patty as you could taste the seasoning and spices.
However the ketchup annoyed me because it was sweeter than the other brands but it was easily fixed by adding some fiery peri peri sauce to it.
The slice of cheese melted nicely as the sausage patty was very hot from the microwave which is why you have to let it stand and cool down before eating.

I hope to try other burgers in the range but sometimes it is difficult because you have to go to the bigger stores.

My next priority to try would probably be the Flame grilled BBQ Rib!

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Iced Spiced Soft Bun

Spotted this treat next to the yum yums so got it because I love Iced Buns.
These are common treats in UK bakeries, they are basically plain buns topped with fondant icing.
The one I got from Marks and Sparks has been jazzed up because it had sultanas and other things in it.
I loved the sweetness and it was similar to eating a hot cross bun with icing because of the raisins and lemon peel.
They come in packs of one or two but sadly the wrapper sticks to the icing so when you take it out of the bag some of the icing gets stuck hence not so photogenic.

[Review] Pot Noodle Lost The Pot Noodles

Update Aug 2021:
Pot Noodles have added two low salt noodles to the lost the pot range.
Sadly, I wasn't picked for the trial earlier in March 2021 to trial them, hence I had to buy then as soon as they were out.
The two new flavors are vegetable which is vegan and cheese and tomato.
Finally spotted them recently at Sainsburys for 50p so got them both.

I ended up trying the Vegetable (peas and quiet) first.
The flavouring sachet was quite green with a strong smell of broccoli that it reminded me of those sachets of broccoli cuppa soups and visually you could see quite a fair bit of dehydrated broccoli bits in it.
To be honest, I found it really tasty because they appropriately used strong vegetables like broccoli, kale and peas to give it flavour without the salt.

The next day I tried the Tomato and Cheese, the flavouring sachet had a strong cheesy smell.
Overall, it was nice but the vegetable fared better.
The cheese and tomato flavour was mild so it could have done better if the flavours were stronger.
To summarize, I prefer the vegetable flavour.

AUG2020:
Earlier this year Pot Noodles have launched the new LOST THE POT NOODLES which are currently available at ASDA.

Even though I bought them for a few weeks, it took me a while to try them because they required more effort than before in the sense that it is not just adding water.

Although I do try other brands of instant noodles that require cooking, these are different psychologically as they started off as convenience noodle that just required boiling hot water.

To summarize, you will like these noodles if you like Batchelors super noodles.
The only difference is that the strands are flat and not as wide and thick as the pot noodle version and the noodles are a bit dry and sticky.

They come in three flavours: roast chicken, sweet chili and curry.
As a noodle fan, I tried all three.
The roast chicken was my favourite because they smelled like a packet of roast chicken crisps and tasted like chicken.

The curry was just like a salty curry lacking spices and that umami flavour because it doesn't contain any msg.

The sweet chilli was my least favourite as it was just sticky and sweet.

[Review] THE SMOKIN’ VEGAN PIZZA by The White Rabbit

The White Rabbit a successful company which started off in 2017 that offers gluten, dairy and soy free pizzas.
The company is called The White Rabbit because it all began at the White Rabbit Pub in Oxford.

If you spot their pizzas at the supermarket, you will definitely remember it because of the simple and bold black and white design with a rabbit logo.
As a foodie, I had to give it a try so I got the Smokin Vegan pizza which has chargrilled peppers, sauteed mushrooms and baby spinach.
They use MozzaRisella which is plant based cheese made from brown rice grown and sprouted in Italy.

Overall, I was impressed with the pizza topping and the cheese because it tasted how it should but I was a little let down by the pizza base because it was somehow different but any how I was still glad I tried a pizza from The White Rabbit.

[Review] Skyr Natrual Style Icelandic Style Thick Yoghurt

Skyr is an Icelandic-style cultured yogurt product.
It is thick like Greek yoghurt but has more protein in it.
As for the taste, it is less tart so Skyr yoghurt is a great choice for people who love thick yoghurts.
At M&S, they have the Skyr Mango & Passion Fruit Icelandic Style Thick Yoghurt and the Skyr Natrual Style Icelandic Style Thick Yoghurt.
The yoghurt was lovely and thick yet spoonable but I found it really acidic so I had them with M&S Irish potato farls.
A while ago I tried the Skyr Mango & Passion Fruit Icelandic Style Thick Yoghurt which is flavoured hence more palatable.
