Sainsbury's Gingerbread Trifle

Sainsbury's Gingerbread Trifle is layers of toffee flavour custard, a ginger sponge, gingerbread flavour mousse with a sweetened stabilised cream topping.
Chocolate orange trifle also available at Sainsburys.
It's nice to see something different from the sticky toffee and blackforest trifle last year.
I felt that the gingerbread flavour was a bit underwhelming.
It would have been nice with stronger spice and gingerbread kick because it strangely tasted like a banoffee trifle somehow.
The toffee custard and ginger sponge were the nice part but the mousse let it down.

Aldi gingerbread man sprinkle mix

Aldi gingerbread man sprinkle mix.
These are a must have because they are just mini gingerbread men cookies which you can scoff anytime or sprinkle them on dessert or have them lying nearby some coffee.
They are tiny alright but they do taste like gingerbread!!

Aldi Bramwells Sage & Onion Stuffing / Cranberry mayonnaise

Aldi Bramwells Sage & Onion Stuffing / Cranberry mayonnaise!
Well, another mayonnaise to try for me and this time it is Aldi's sage and onion stuffing which is what Sainsburys had a couple of years ago.
I am kicking myself for not buying the cranberry mayonnaise as this is quite unique compared to the ones before like gravy mayo, bacon mayo etc.
Anyway, the Aldi sage and onion stuffing mayo had a nice texture but the taste was a bit like salad cream so I didn't quite like it.

Sainsbury's Taste the difference Chocolate Orange Reindeer Bao buns.

Sainsbury's Chocolate Orange Reindeer Bao buns.
These are decorated steamed buns with a chocolate and orange peel sauce.
Finally a supermarket that offers bao buns with a sweet filling and not a sweet savoury filling.
As expected, it was tasty filled with molten chocolate with a fragrant orange kick to it.
The texture of the bao could have been fluffier, again I did not follow the instructions and microwaved them for 20 seconds.
Hoping to see caramel fillings or even chocolate hazelnut in the future.

Aldi Specially Selected Sweet & Sour Veg Present Bao Buns

Aldi Specially Selected Sweet & Sour Veg Present Bao Buns.
To be honest, I only got them because they were pretty with red bows that looks like Hello Kitty.
I was bowled over by how good they were because they were not as sweet as anticipated.
It is nothing like the proper sweet and sour but mostly crunchy sweetcorn and it strangely worked!
Not only was the bao bun soft and fluffy from 20 seconds in the microwave, the filling was actually decent tasting.
I CAN DEFINITELY CONFIRM 20 SECONDS IN THE MICROWAVE IS ENOUGH ON A 900W MICROWAVE.

Oyakata TanTanmen style ramen

Oyakata new tantanmen noodles, lovely smell of the peanut and sesame from the broth powder.
Tasty and not too spicy.

M&S turkey feast lasagne

I can't get enough of stuffing and turkey so had to try the new M&S turkey feast lasagne which is labelled as layers of egg pasta with slow cooked turkey ragu, sausage meat and cranberry stuffing with a rich bechamel sauce.
Not your conventional lasagne but I loved it.
To be honest, you don't taste the cranberries as there isn't much but visually you do see some bits of red in between the sheet.
Overall, it was to my liking as it is savoury, creamy from the bechamel sauce with chunks of turkey and sausage meat and then you get the freshness from the lush green parsley.
The texture of the turkey was really tender like pulled chicken and tasty so well done Marks and Spencers.
Cooking instructions are 40 minutes in the oven but I microwaved it for 2 minutes and it was all good.
