Sainsbury’s Big Friendly Feast 2D illustrated dining experience inspired by the Roald Dahl’s iconic 'BFG’

Despite online tickets being sold out, I was so lucky to experience the Sainsbury’s Big Friendly Feast 2D illustrated dining experience inspired by the Roald Dahl’s iconic 'BFG’ as a walk in.
Luckily we got there early and got a free slot.
It was a really good way to try out the new Christmas party food launched at Sainsburys with the savoury finger food and main desserts along with fancy mocktails.
All the food you get to try is showcased which were all delicious in my opinion.

For the Mixed Menu Book one and Two (savoury), we had:
Taste the Difference King Prawns in Duvets
Taste the Difference mini scallop and chorizo shells
Taste the Difference Barber's Vintage Cheddar Rarebit Toasts
Taste the Difference Mini Southern Fried chicken burgers
Taste the Difference Ice Ice By Penguins
Sainsburys Candy Stripe Veg Cones
Taste the Difference Brie aux Truffle
Taste the Difference Mini Mac & Cheese.

For the sweet feast, we had:
Taste the Difference Caro-mel & Brownie Cheesecake
Taste the Difference Golden Forest
Taste the Difference Chocolate Cookie Torte
Taste the Difference Chocolate & Hazelnut stollen
Taste the Difference Almond Ricciarelli
Taste the Difference Chocolate Hazelnut mince Pies

Loved the 2D experience especially the way they brought out the food in boxes with smoke.
All tickets sold were donated to Sainsbury’s and Comic Relief's Nourish the Nation programme.

M&S Pickled red onions

M&S Pickled red onions
Ran out of pickled red onions so got the M&S ones to try.
They are definitely very different in the sense that there is a lot going on, the texture of the onions are on the soft side.
In terms of taste, the sweetness hits you then you get the spices like chili and then you get that really acidic sharp taste lingering in your mouth.
These are made in Poland which I'm not surprised as they have some seriously good pickles to offer.

Fortnum & Mason's King George Christmas Pudding

Christmas is not complete without Christmas Pudding, the star this year was the King George Christmas Pudding from Fortnum Mason which contains real beef suet, as well as Fortnum's Cognac and Pusser's Full-Strength Navy Rum.
It was definitely a decadent and luxurious Christmas pudding with a nice texture.
Also tried it the Northern way with cheese as a Southerner.
Even though I've not really been North, I seem to have a Northerner tummy with the love for gravy, pease pudding etc.

Gingerbread Brownies by Stef's Brownies

I haven't had much luck getting my hands on Stef's pandan brownies but managed to get his limited edition Gingerbread Brownies at Nathalie which are just as nice.
They are seriously gooey and decadent without being too sweet and you get a lovely gingerbread aftertaste that lingers.
You also get chunky pieces of chocolate in it which are lush!

Lazzys My Old mans Cherry from Rayes

Lazzys, a lovely dark chocolate with cherry pieces with a good sweetness balance that I bought from Raye.
Also tried the Collider non alcoholic lager which seriously tastes like lager without the alcohol!!
