Qin Zong Shaanxi Cold Noodles

Let's just say I got it for the sauces and threw the noodles away because they don't go soft.
Everything in this bag was WRONG and the sauces had to be binned!
The noodles from the start were not edible and no matter how long you cooked the, the texture was elastic and strange.
The weird sauce sachets, each and every one of them tasted strange.
The brine was the weirdest liquid but some how tasted like liquid MSG! As well as the brine, the vinegar sachet, chilli oil sachet didn't even taste normal.
I felt that The Ramen Rater probably did a better job with these noodles.







Brazilian Pamonha Salgado

Looking similar to a Tamale, it is made of sweet corn puree and wrapped in sweet corn husks.
It is available sweet or savoury but personally I prefer savoury.
Some recipes add to cheese to it which I can imagine tasting seriously good.
Overall, it tasted like blended sweet corn that was savoury.
Would have added some cheese if I had some.






MAMA Oriental style instant noodles PA-LO Duck flavour

I love MAMA noodles as they never disappoint.
Put the kettle on and the noodles will then take 40 seconds to soften in the microwave.
The duck broth was really nice.





SUNLON Beijing Liu Bi Ju preserved radish

These were not bad!
The radish pieces were crunchy, savoury and sweet with a little spicy kick to it.
Probably best to rinse it in some hot water before eating.






M&S New cheesy hot crab dip

I know its a dip but it was quite rich hence I put some on crumpets and potato cakes.
Although, it instructs you to bake it in the oven, it was fine in the microwave for 2 minutes.
I felt that oat cakes or wheat crackers are probably the best to pair with it.







Mr Gulamans agar jelly: buko pandan and black

There are so many brands of jelly in the Philippines and Mr Gulanmans is one of them.
I didn't have any expectations because the instructions were annoying as it requires you to boil the contents but I decided to ignore it and see if it dissolved with boiling water and it did.
The impressive thing is that the jelly sets faster than the gelatin ones.
Next was the taste which also impressed me because it is not sweet like this other brand so I was able to make a lovely dessert by adding sweet pandan sauce to it.
The black jelly comes in a dark green powder while the green jelly powder is blue but both changes to the corresponding colours.


















Van Holten's Pickle ice pop

Not a sweet ice pop but a savoury PICKLE ice pop.
I have an acquired taste so loved it.
Tried it frozen and unfrozen where I felt frozen was best because there was an unpleasant acidic feel on the throat which was much stronger in liquid form.
Other, than that, I loved the pickle and dill vibes.
Would love to see a bloody Mary ice pop.
