Spotted these packet soups at the local Turkish shop so I grabbed the işkembe çorbası which is basically tripe soup.
The way the Turkish have it is very similar to the English way with vinegar but they have it with extra garlic sauce added on the table or with the addition of an egg yolk-lemon juice.
So basically with something tangy.
In many countries, tripe soup is a hangover food just like the Bulgarian version.
Anyway, the BASAK soup packet was really tasty as it was lemony and tangy so I imagine the homemade version would taste a million times nicer.
I added some noodles in the soup and it was really tasty.
Also tried yayla çorbası which is yoghurt and mint soup.
Again, it was another good soup because I loved the mint and sourness however this particular soup was hard to prepare because there were grains of rice in it which didn't cook properly.
I imagine the home made version would be rather thick and creamy.
