Ginsters new bakes- Mac and Cheese and vegan bombay potato spinach review

Ginsters are famous for Cornish Pasties and Steak slices, it used to be enough but to stay in the game they have come up with all these new bakes as well as vegetarian options.

The new bakes are: Cajun Spiced Chicken Bake, Mac & Cheese Bake, Philly Cheese Steak Bake and Harissa Spiced Chicken Bake.
As a Mac and Cheese fan, the Mac and Cheese had to be my first choice.
I heated it in the microwave for 1 minute and then put it in a halogen oven to get the pastry crisp and flakey.
I was quite surprised I liked it.
It wasn't really cheesy but you can really taste that macaroni.
When you cook macaroni, you have this really distinct mac smell and taste and it was exactly that followed by a slightly cheesy taste from the sauce.

Tried the bombay potato spinach as well but I found it too fiery for my palate otherwise it would have been ok.

Also for Christmas, they are doing the Festive Chicken & Stuffing Slice which I really want to try as well.

Krispy Kreme new Decadent Desserts range - Billionaires Cheesecake Doughnut & Black Forest Doughnut

Krispy Kreme has done it again, right after Halloween they have launched the new Decadent Desserts range.
The two new doughnuts are the Billionaires Cheesecake Doughnut and the Black Forest Doughnut.
Clearly the Black Forest was the one for me with choco cherry filling with cherry fudge and white chocolate curls.
It certainly did not disappoint because the chocolate cherry filling was not too sweet with a lovely tartness.
Most importantly the doughnuts were fresh so it was heaven.
The Billionaires cheesecake is filled with caramel cheesecake filling and topped with chocolate crisp pearls.

Morrisons Chocolate Orange Trifles

It's the chocolate orange trend at the moment hence there are so many chocolate orange treats.
Morrisons are doing the chocolate orange trifle which comes in a pack of three.
I liked the visually distinct layers of orange, chocolate and cream.
Overall it wasn't bad but not good enough that I would want to finish the other two.
I felt that the orange was a let down because it was a bit sweet and veered towards the orange peel which is bitter and not as zesty as the orange itself.

Müller strawberry shortcake

Muller is famous for pots of yoghurt with a separate corner called Muller Corners.
There is a fruit compote series or crunch corners.
Normally you get yoghurt but the reason I tried the Strawberry shortcake was because it was strawberry yoghurt.
The Strawberry shortcake is a classic British flavour with tasty and creamy strawberry yogurt complemented by crunchy white chocolate coated shortcake biscuit balls on the side.

Muller milk and butter

Muller has always been famous for yoghurt and muller corners.
To be honest, I don't know when they started doing milk and butter which I recently discovered at Coop.
The look for the butter is actually stylish so is the milk with a nice purple milk cap.
From their website, they also do cream which is something I would want to try as well because the tub looks nice which I would keep after finishing it.

Sainsburys spiced apple bircher muesli (autumn edition)

I love muesli so when I saw the new Sainsburys spiced apple bircher muesli (autumn edition) I just had to try it because of the spiced apples.
According to Sainsburys it is a low fat Greek style yogurt with a blend of oats, apple juice and apple with a layer of spiced apple compote.

Rana recipe kit review

I have always wanted to try Rana because they have so many pasta products at the supermarkets like the pan fried gnocchi.
There was a promotion on the papers for free recipe kits so I tried one and got hooked on the rest.
It was hard deciding which one to try first because they all seemed good.
The current four are: La Famiglia Rana Classic Italian Recipe Kit Tagliatelle Carbonara, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Four Cheese Fusilli, Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, Mushroom Linguine, Risotto Milanese.
All of these recipe kits are super easy to prepare so I think the recipe kit name makes them appear more sophisticated than they really are.
Overall, portions were on the small side while there was more than enough sauce.
Instructions are simple to follow, all you do is pour the pasta in the box then the sauce and put it in the microwave for 4 minutes and then add the optional herbs/cheese at the end.
As well as Rana, there is a similar competitor trying to tap in the UK market called Pronti Via where there is also a separate pouch of sauce that you pour on the pasta and then microwave.

Tagliatelle Carbonara:
Overall very tasty and not too creamy.

Tagliatelle Bolognese:
My overall favourite because the meat sauce was rich and tasty.

Risotto Milanese:
This was similar to the carbonara but there was a nice rich ham taste in the sauce.
The rice was not too hard or chalky with a chew.

Four Cheese Fusilli:
The four cheese fusilli was a bit too sickly and the fusilli was too firm and chewy compared to the other products.

Pan fried gnocchi finds:
