Vegan Choccie Dodgers review

According to the internet, there was a chocolate dodger a while back but it was double chocolate ie the biscuit was chocolate flavoured as well.

The latest choccie dodger looks like this and they are vegan as well.

If you like chocolate and biscuits then these choccie dodgers are for you.

As well as results for the double choc dodger, it also came up with other cool flavours like toffee apple, custard jam etc.

New McVities 2021 Mince Pie Digestives

Last year we saw the Christmas pudding and gingerbread digestives by McVities for Christmas and this year they have launched the Mince Pie digestives and repeated the Gingerbread again.

I don't have any expectations for the mince pie as the previous ones were a bit disappointing.

Swiss bun from Wenzel's Bakery

Wenzel's bakery is a popular bakery in the North East of London.
At first I thought they were German from the name but it turns out to be Jewish after talking to the staff.

The staff was knowledgeable about the bakery items which was really impressive in this day and age.

Browsing the bakery items, I was impressed at the selection as they had your regular iced doughnuts, yum yums, London Cheesecakes, Swiss buns, Belgian Buns etc as well as fancy bakery items such as cronuts.

I really appreciate they call the Swiss buns by their proper name even though you can call them iced buns or iced fingers so I ended up getting one.

By default,  Swiss buns are topped with white icing but that day it was yellow and checking up on them another day it was white.

For the sake of the photo, white would have been better and more traditional.

I didn't have any expectations for Wenzels because it looked like another fancy bakery but their Swiss bun which cost 80p was surprisingly good.

It had a nice chew topped with a balanced layer of icing.

Personally I didn't like the yellow colour but that was the only complaint.

Will be trying the yummies next and it's good to see they offer Belgian buns, Swiss buns, plain sugar donuts, London cheesecakes and fancies.

In the end, I got another Swiss bun which was white from the branch in Angel but they grasped the bun with the tongs hence the marks otherwise picture perfect.

M&S Ricotta e Spinaci pizza

Marks &Spencer have launched a new range of pastas and pizzas for the Italian dine in series.

Last week I tried the beef bolognese and discovered that the Italian dine in also had a beef and bolognese which I suspect are the same because the descriptions are identical.

In the pizza section I tried the Sloppy Joe pizza which has my favourite combo of spicy beef, peppers and red onions so this time had the Ricotta e Spinaci.

As expected it was just tasty if you like spinach and cheese!

Seabrook Lea & Perrins Crinkle Cut Crisps

Overall nice texture and the Worcestershire sauce was really sharp.

Worcestershire spelled the way as it is printed on the packaging. 

NEW Sharwoods Chicken Jalfrezi Curry & Rice

This was the first time I tried the Sharwoods instant pot rice.
I found it quite satisfying with the dehydrated chicken pieces.

Although it didn't taste like a restaurant Jalfezi, the flavour was punchy with notes of tomato and bell peppers.
Overall I liked it and would want to try the other flavours.
