ASDA ginger and caramel snow cake

This is a seriously good alternative Christmas cake for cake lovers like me.
It is a three layered Madeira and gingerbread flavoured sponge cake with layers of caramel sauce.
Covered with vanilla frosting, glistening shimmer and decorated with pretty gingerbread houses and stars.
The cake was just lush, the soft gingerbread sponge and caramel sauce in the middle was delicious.
A must buy!!

ALDI Ruby Port, Fig and Pear Puff Pastry Mince Pies

The idea of Ruby Port, Fig and Pear in the form of a cheesy mince pie sounded nice so I had to try it.
The mince pies which look like sausage rolls tasted very different warmed and at room temperature.
At room temperature you can taste the sweet filling more while warmed the cheesy buttery pastry came out stronger.
Overall, it was nice but the pastry was quite thick.

Giant mutant oysters from Blackwater Oysters in Essex at the Farmers Market

Size matters.
I was so lucky to get hold of two mutant oysters because this is one of those rare lifetime opportunities.
It was much bigger and cheaper than the previous one I got in a London.
I was in shock when I saw the size of it that I got a bit too excited.
The best thing is that there is an area where you can eat your oysters and they even had a metal knife which makes it easy to eat.
The oysters are shucked in front of you and William opened them effortlessly.
I had the oyster straight and was surprised that the taste was intense with a salty kick.
With its monstrosity, the scallop muscle was big and sweet.
These oysters are depurated if you are in the know.
There is fresh lemon and condiments there as well.
Having regretted terribly from previously throwing away the shell from the last oyster one, I was prepared this time with an old bubble padded envelope to put the shell in but the shell turned out to be much bigger so what a lucky girl I was.
There are only a few each week as these giants take up space and what's more funny is that they also take up space in the oyster bed at sea.
The one I had was 8 years old like an old cat but I'm not sure how long oysters live for.
Anyway, I am so blessed to be acquainted with these as their oyster farm is far away in Essex.
