[Review] Asda Brandy Buttercream Mince Pie

Mince Pies are getting fancy this year and retailers are all competing to come up with creative ones.

I am not a fan or mince pies because of the fruit peel so the creative ones appeal to me as the recipe is slightly modified or taste completely different.

Fancy mince pies this year come in the form of ginger bread, black forest, chocolate orange etc.

As I was at Asda, tried the Brandy Buttercream Mince Pie.

It is topped with a thick Brandy buttercream which was sweet icing so it overpowered the taste of the fruit peel which made the mince pie more palatable.

However I couldn't quite taste the brandy but overall, if I were presented with a traditional mince pie and the brandy buttercream mince pie, I would choose the latter.

[Review] Walkers Sensations Lime and Coriander Poppadoms

As always, Walkers savoury snacks taste good.
I liked the poppadoms as they were addictive but not too spicy on the heat.

As well as potato snacks, they also do nut snacks in the Sensation range:

[Review] McVities Jamaican Ginger Cake

As well as Lyons syrup cake, the Jamaican ginger cake is another one of my favourites which I occasionally have but not yet posted about.
The size was slightly bigger than its regular size which deters you from buying it because it takes longer to finish it off.

It is nice if you have it occasionally but too much can get a bit sickly if you are not that fond of ginger.
Anyway, had it with custard which made it better.

[Review] M & S Cornish Clotted Cream

Who doesn't love clotted cream with scones.
Tried Marks & Spencers Cornish Clotted cream which was creamy and thick.
There are two sizes, the small tub and the larger tub.
It was so good that I would have put more on my scone if the tub held more in it.
Larger tub:

[Review] Tesco Tzatziki

In my view Tzatziki is like the Greek version of Raita as they both contain cucumber and yoghurt.
The Greek version is heavier I would say.

Tried Tescos Tzatziki which paired nicely with chicken.

[Review] Eat Real Chili and Lemon flavoured Hummus Chips

Eat Real Healthier Snacking is a brand that offers healthy snacks made from ingredients like Quinoa, Kale, Hummus, Lentil etc.
There are so many options to choose from.
Ended up buying the Eat Real Dill flavoured Lentil Chips and Eat Real Hummus Lemon and Chili.
Tried the Eat Real Hummus Lemon and Chili which were quite spicy however the lemon wasn't strong enough and it was a tad salty.

The shape of these chips are like conchiglie pasta shells.
I was suggested a fun way of eating them by Al Ballentyne where eat them with olives.
The olive sits nicely on top and personally I prefer green olives because it goes better.
Also tried the Eat Real Dill flavoured Lentil Chips which tasted like quavers.

[Review] Muller Bliss Corner whipped Greek style yogurt with lemon compote

The muller bliss whipped yoghurt is always good with or without anything because it is light and fluffy just like mousse.

Theoretically it mousse but yoghurt mousse as you can see tell tale signs of it piped into the pot.
The lemon compote that came with it was awful because I was expecting it to taste like lemon curd but it tasted like hard boiled sherbet lemon sweets.
