Vegetable jelly

Normally jellies are fruit flavoured but I happened to come across one that was made of vegetables by a Japanese brand called Woody Village.
On the side of the cup, it shows the vegetables that are in the jelly.

After peeling the lid, you can see tomato seeds in the jelly.

There were bits and pieces of vegetables in it.
As for the taste, there was a strong tomato taste but I didn't like it because it tasted artificially sweet which is really weird because tomatoes are not meant to be sweet.

There was also carrot jelly as well so I wonder how that would taste.

Golden Pig burgers and bacon

As a Brit, bacon and sausages are a must have item on the plate but in Hong Kong you can't find decent sausages and back bacon so you end up dining out for them.
Recently discovered this brand called Golden Pig from the UK selling delicious sausages and bacon.

There are three flavours for the sausages:

Pork and apple:

Cumberland:

Jalapeno:

Unsmoked back bacon:
Pork and apple burgers:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I was greedy so I had sausages, bacon and the pork and apple burger in my lunchbox!!!!!!!!!!

The star of the show was the pork and apple burger, which was a huge burger patty that was succulent and juicy.
The bacon was flawless with the right level of saltiness on a bed of mixed grain rice.

Hopefully Golden Pig's products will be available at the supermarket soon or I will need to stock up when I see their stall at the markets.

2015 McDonald's Prawn burger and pineapple pie

McDonald's have launched a new prawn burger with pineapple and a pineapple pie so tried them.

Whenever the ebi burger (prawn burger) is launched, it becomes a popular choice.
Now they have launched the ebi burger with pineapple, which basically has a slice of pineapple in the middle with the same mayonnaise sauce that they use for the chicken sandwich.

The pineapple in the burger was a bit too juicy and stole the show with its sweet flavours.
It was also difficult eating the burger because when you bite into it, you are biting against the pineapple fibres so you have to tear the pineapple.

To my knowledge the pies that have been launched before in HK are red bean and taro.
Hopefully they will launch peach as well because that would taste quite nice.

pineapple pie:

The pineapple pie filling is the same as the apple in terms of consistency and viscosity.
It has the same sort of sweetness as the apple but it has small chunks of pineapple instead and the pineapple taste is not that strong.

Tried the pork and apple with bread and I really liked it because it was meaty and juicy without any elastic bits.

I used an oven to cook them and they tasted amazing without the need for any sauces.
If I had grilled them,  the crispy skin would have made them even more scrumptious.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
For the Cumberland sausage and Jalapeno sausage I had it with beautiful mash and caramelized onions made by a friend which complemented it nicely.
My favourite Bangers and Mash!

The Cumberland (First picture) was meatier than the pork and apple and the Jalapeno (Second picture) is not that spicy so if you want to try something different these two are good picks.
Personally I liked the pork and apple sausage.

They cost $60 per pack of six sausages or $160 for three packs which can be bought at the upcoming Sai Kung Market on the 19th or delivered free with orders over $500.

Coco glace

Coco Glace is a coconut water jelly served in a coconut shell.

The lady who sold it to me said it was ready to eat and did not need defrosting but it was frozen rock hard.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★
Coco glace:

This was the first one I had which was frozen so I microwaved it for two minutes and it was quite slushy.

It tasted nice and it was not too sweet.

This was the second one I had after putting it in the fridge over night to defrost.

After it has been defrosted, it is mainly coconut water and there is not much jelly in it.

Gerber rice and banana apple cereal

I have always wanted to try Gerber cereals but the packaging wasn't resealable but now they have this twist cap which is really convenient.

You are supposed to add milk but I added water because I don't like milk and the taste was amazing because it tasted natural with apple tartness and banana taste.

Baby food - Chicken liver + rice + mixed veggies

Obviously I didn't get this from Thailand but it was good they had English and a great packaging that was clear and colourful.

On the rack, there were three flavours:
- Chicken liver, rice, mixed veggies
- Salmon, potato, sweetcorn, spinach
- Chicken, egg yolk, rice, mixed veggies

I ended up getting the chicken liver because you don't often get baby food with chicken liver.

When I googled this brand, I found other baby cookies too and they had salmon spinach cookies and chicken and corn cookies.
https://www.facebook.com/Picnicbabyfood

Inside the packet, you get a baby spoon too!!

The taste was interesting, there was a slight hint of bitterness most probably because of the chicken liver.

Anyway, babies won't have to worry about their cholesterol levels!!
