Lidl Meadow Fresh caramelized onion houmous & Red pepper houmous

Houmous is really fancy these days so I like trying different brands for comparison.
Caramelized houmous is quite popular so I tried Lidl's version which was surprisingly enjoyable in the sense that it had crisp chunks of caramelized onions which had a lovely sweet twang to it which can get quite sweet at the end.
Rating 3/5

Also tried the red pepper houmous which was a bit too sweet for my liking.
Rating: 3/5

Sainsburys Moroccan houmous review

I love houmous so decided to try Sainsburys Moroccan houmous to compare it to Morrisons version.

To summarize it was just houmous with a cumin kick while the Morrison Moroccan has a sweet touch with apricots.

Delphi Foods Black olive houmous review

It is always exciting when you find different flavours of houmous.
Black olive houmous is not often seen around which is why I got the Delphi Foods Black Olive houmous which is an independant brand retailing at 87p which is not expensive for 170g, vegan too.
The dips and houmous are a small range of what they do, according to their website they have salads and tapas as well.
Getting back to the houmous, I was expecting a little bit more in the sense of taste because it just tasted like a regular houmous but with a lilac colour.
I was hoping it to have a nutty or saltiness to it from the olives or even have finely chopped olives in it which I am sure they will fine tweak it later.
Anyway, I still recommend it.

[Review] Aldi Specially Selected Cranberry Houmous

Christmas is coming so cranberries are added to almost everything.
At Aldi, I spotted the Specially Selected Cranberry Houmous which got me curious because houmous is savoury but then it could work with cranberries because I've seen houmous with apricots.
It is topped with a spiced wine cranberry sauce and chestnuts.
To my surprise, the cranberry houmous was quite tasty because it tasted like Christmas roast because I could taste something similar to stuffing and it was not too sweet overall.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Sweet Chilli Houmous

These days you can get houmous in so many flavours, the competition is fierce and every supermarket has a good choice of houmous to entice you.
So far, I have tried the peri peri houmous, sweet red pepper houmous, basil swirl houmous and the regular houmous at M&S.
This time I tried the Sweet chilli houmous from M&S so that I could compare it with the sweet chili houmous from Sainsburys.
As expected, the Sweet chilli houmous had a lot going on, first you get the sweetness then you get the fiery chilli so it was really nice.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Roasted Red Pepper Houmous

At M&S, there are so many choices for houmous, red pepper is a popular one.
It was nice but the Piri piri houmous has stolen the show.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers NEW Piri Piri houmous

Spotted the new piri piri houmous by M&S so I just had to try it so that I could compare it to Sainsbury version.
I must admit, I was really impressed with this as it was so damn good and addictive.
It was like eating Nandos and Houmous together because there was so much going on in the houmous and not just a hard spicy kick.
Also on the shelves is the red pepper houmous which is similar so don't grab the wrong one.

[Review] Sainsbury's be good to yourself Houmous

I always eat houmous on a regular basis so when I saw the Sainsbury's be good to yourself Houmous I decided to get it.
As it is claimed to be lower in calories I was expecting the taste to be bland but it was just as good as the regular houmous.
The only complaint was the plastic tub itself because it was flimsy and weak compared to other brands.

[Review] Sainsbury's Peri Peri Houmous

Houmous is getting fancy these days because there are so many to choose from like beetroot houmous, Moroccan, Lemon and coriander, Pesto houmous etc.
The range of houmous at Sainsbury's is not that big compared to Morrisons or Tescos but they have Peri Peri houmous which I have not tried from the supermarkets so tried it.
The heat in the Peri Peri houmous was quite intense so be warned.
Overall ok if you can take the heat but I feel that I should try the other brands for the comparison.

[Review] M&S Marks and Spencers Ready to eat Falafels with houmous dip

I was a bit peckish so got the Ready to eat Falafels with houmous dip.
The falafels tasted how it should with a strong cumin taste and it was good that it was not dry inside.
It was complimented nicely by the generous side of houmous.
