Vegan kitkat review

The vegan Kitkat was the second non regular kitkat to excite me just like the previous Ruby chocolate merely because the chocolate is different.
Matcha/Green Tea are too common these days that they didn't arouse my interest as much as these two did.
The vegan kitkat is made with couverture chocolate which means a higher percentage of cocoa butter which gives it a nice sheen, firmer snap and creamier taste which makes it ideal as a vegan kitkat because the creaminess makes up for the milk.
To be honest, if I ate this blindfolded, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference but the only noticable taste difference was that it was sweeter than the regular one which is a shame because you can't appreciate that extra creaminess that makes it couverture.
I suppose you could think of it tasting like dark chocolate but there was too much sugar in it.
Eating it from the fridge made it slightly better as things taste less sweet when chilled or frozen hence the high sugar content in icecreams/desserts.
Rating: 3/5 (would have been 4/5 if the sweetness was reduced)

vegan kitkat coming

The new vegan KitKat – called KitKat V– will be launched later in the year in several countries across the globe. It will only be available through the KitKat Chocolatory and selected retailers, to test the opportunity for a wider roll-out.

KitKat V was developed by chocolate experts in NestlĂ©’s confectionery research and development center in York, UK, the original home of KitKat. They worked hard to make a vegan version that would live up to the high expectations of KitKat lovers everywhere.

[Review] Kitkat Ruby Chocolate

Ruby chocolate is so different to white, milk or dark chocolate.
It had a sweet and sour taste similar to raspberry which I really liked.

[Review] KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter

Recently tried the KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter which was not my cup of tea but then I am not a fan of peanut butter.
The filling was somehow dry and just tasted like dehydrated peanut butter.

Kitkat Mint 2 Ways (Australia)

Kitkats used to be boring but there are now so many different editions and flavours from different countries.
Recently tried the Kitkat Mint 2 Ways from Australia which is visually pretty.

One end is chocolate and the other end is mint green.

It is 2 ways in the sense that one side has crispy bits while the other side is smooth.

Overall, I liked it because I agree with mint chocolate flavours but I preferred the smooth side.

Kitkat Salted caramel whirl (Australia)

At first you can't taste the salt but then you can afterwards.
I loved this because there was a lovely caramel smell and taste to it.

The Malaysian kitkat is shorter in length compared to the Australian one.

Kitkat Green tea (Malaysia)

Palatable green tea taste.
Compared to other countries, the Malay kitkat is shorter.

Kitkat Sakura matcha (Japan)

The Kitkat Sakura matcha comes in a box and inside there are three packs of two fingers.
They were not too sweet but the matcha was not strong and I couldn't taste the sakura.

Nestle purple potato kitkat (Japan)

Japanese Nestle purple potato kitkat.
Very sugary like white chocolate and the purple potato tasted a bit like playdoh.

Nestle cookies & cream kitkat

Australian Cookies & Cream kitkat.
Quite sugary.

Nestle Kitkat icecream

The new #kitkat icecream cone is basically an #icecream with a kitkat stabbed in!

Nestle kitkat chunky hazelnut

This had a fragrant hazelnut smell when you opened the wrapper.
Although it was quite sweet,  it was enjoyable.

Nestle KitKat Choc Mint Whirl

I love mint chocolate so I loved this Choc Mint edition of KitKat.
The KitKat has these pretty green swirls on it hence the name Mint Whirl.
